I do not understand why Microsoft does stuff like this. Can it be that hard to give us control over how we want to work with files? This was only happening with download folder, not the folders within my download folder.
It was driving me crazy. This only started today and I wanted to jump off a bridge. Was it something I unintentionally did???? Thank you again. My brain aches from trying to figure this out.

But in all kind of "Save as" dialogs from any application the group by date still appears and in those special explorer windows there is no option to disable file grouping in them.
