Ran the disc which came with the printer but it says that a newer version is available online. I did try to downlload the Ca from here and it said that it was successful but I was unable to print still. Went to HP website and tried to download the driver for the Cn-s which was available but wizard disappears completely and it stops installing before the installation is complete.
It shows me a list of things that I can do as an alternative but no luck. I did to try to download the 'basic' and full driver package and no luck. Hired a local computer tech person to come to the house and he was unsuccessful. I don't know what to do as my computer is telling me I need a driver before I can use my printer, but I cannot download one whichever method I try and I have spent hours online in general and also on this HP help forum with no luck.
I have installed other programms onto my desktop so I don't think that is the problem, and I have checked that the driver is correct for my operating system Windows 7 bit.
There has got to be something that I am missing. I slightly remember reading somewhere online that this is a general problem for other folks with this particular All in One model and that many have not been able to resolve, vis a vis HP or elsewhere.
I don't have a great deal of computer savvy but can get by adequately. Any wisdom would be more than appreciated. Thanks a bunch!!!!!!!
Hope someone can help. I'm trying to find a way to add to my initial message but can't seem to find it that's why I'm clicking on 'Reply' to add on updates from myself. I tried 'add tag', but it keeps rejecting my message for some reason. A lot of folks have viewed my entry. I see that all other members issues have been addressed except mine from today. Not pushing, but just wondering if I need to add more in my initial narrative.
Thank you. I just tried again to download the basic driver from HP for this machine and when I go into my 'downloads' and try to open it up I get this window which is an interesting twist: help, help. Hello - you and I have the exact same printer and the same Win 7 64 bit. The only difference is I'm wireless and your wired. First off, the Ca is dead wrong and won't work at all -uninstall the printer and let Windows detect it again. Now what Windows did with me is detect a two different forms of the printer.

Wow, a purchase made in , works on a PC with an operating system that doesn't exist in And that for a very small amount of money. Gil Schneider. I had tons of photos to scan, and after doing some research I decided to go for VueScan.
I don't regret my decision. Scanning was a breeze and saved me a lot of time. I'm using a Brother All-in scanner which I bought 3 years ago and whilst its scanning software is not bad it's much slower and has way less options than VueScan.
My operation system is Windows I can recommend VueScan without hesitation. It''s worth the money. Mike LaNier. Win10 doesn't support my older Fujitsu scansnap. But, with VueScan I can keep using it - so far, so good.
